IN BACOLOD: PRC mobile services set
The Professional Regulation Commission–Iloilo Regional Office is bringing its mobile outreach services to Bacolod City Monday to Friday.
The five-day mobile service called “PRC-Iloilo On-The-Road” Program, will be held at the MassKara Hall of the Bacolod Government Center from 9 a.m to 5 p.m. on July 18, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 19 to 22.
The mobile service intends to decongest the regional office by bringing PRC’s services closer to clients for their convenience and save them travel costs and other expenses.
In her letter to Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia, PRC regional director Lily Ann Baldago said the mobile services is in line with the agency’s thrust to bring its services closer to the people.
Target clientele are applicants for the Licensure Examination for Teachers, initial registration for passers of the Philippine Nurse Licensure Examination, and Licensure for Criminologists, and renewal of professional identification cards of various professionals.
More than the mobile outreach services, however, Leonardia told Baldago he is looking forward to the opening of a permanent PRC Office in Bacolod.
When he was congressman, Leonardia filed House Bill No. 2361 seeking the creation of a Bacolod office for the PRC.
While the bill was approved in the committee level it was not able to pass the whole process before the 16th Congress closed, he said.
But Leonardia said his successor, Rep. Greg Gasataya, has assured him he will re-file the bill.*
