Our raw Brazil nuts have a rich, nutty flavor that can add depth and complexity to your recipes. Try adding them to your pesto, salad dressing, or chocolate bars for a unique twist on classic dishes. Eating one a day is enough. Brazil nuts are the richest know food source of Selenium.

Warning: Do not eat too many Brazil nuts, to avoid excess Selenium intake. On average, you should consume 55 micrograms of Selenium a day to avoid a deficiency, which can reduce your body’s immunity against disease. Just one nut contains 95 micrograms, almost twice your daily requirement. Doctors advise not consuming more than 400 micrograms of Selenium a day to avoid potential health risks. One Brazil Nut seed a day is enough. Better to eat Brazil nuts as part of your Trail Mix.
